Passion for Schipperke
About me
My name is Annelie Moberg. I founded the kennel in 2026 after my dog Mountbay’s Everlasting Love became SE UCH.
I’ve had dogs to and from my whole life. In my earliest years my parents had Golden Retrievers. When I was in my twenties, I bought a mixbreed Lancashire Heeler/West Highland White Terrier. She was followed by a Lagotto Romagnolo/Border Collie/Labrador. I have experience with Schipperkes since later 2000's.
My mother own kennel Mountbay’s and it’s through her and her mentors at kennel Bobelz, I came to fall in love with the breed Schipperke. My first Schipperke was born in 2024 at Mountbay’s kennel and he is now becoming the founding father at Ratatonic.
The kennel name is a reference to the rat owners community. Ratatonic means the rat is sitting perfectly stock-still, becoming entirely rigid or limp. It’s the rats natural freeze response to fear.
I am also active in the swedish Schipperke club, Svenska Schipperke Ringen, where I currently am a deputy board member, co-editor for the member magazine and member of the clubs show commitee. These roles fill a great passion in my life.
My breeding ideaology is to preserve the breed with or without their tail, a typical silhouette and sound, good mentality. I do not breed in quantity, I breed for quality.
